About GNU
The Great Northern Union is an internationally recognized, 70 member auditioned men's a cappella chorus. We bring audiences out of their seats by delivering emotionally charged messages in a high impact a cappella style.
We are the performing chorus of the Hilltop, MN chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS). The Society is dedicated to preserving a unique piece of our American heritage and to the belief that singing brings joy to our lives and world. The GNU is also a member of the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America (CASA).
We perform at events ranging from pre-game and halftime shows for major league sports teams, to corporate events, charitable and arts benefits, to clinics and workshops in schools and churches throughout our region. We also produce our own shows each year at major Twin Cities venues.
In addition to providing top-notch entertainment to audiences all over the Upper Midwest, our mission includes charitable and educational components.
